TIRANA, October 2 /ATA/- In the local foreign currency exchange market, the USD strengthened its position against the Albanian Lek.
According to the official exchange rate provided by the Bank of Albania, the USD is traded today at ALL 112.15 or 0.06 ALL more than on Tuesday. Meanwhile, in the course of one week, the USD strengthened against the Lek by 1.66 lekë.
The experts say that this is the highest value since the beginning of 2018. While in April 2018, the USD reached its lowest level when it got exchanged with 104.31 ALL.
According to foreign currency exchange experts, the exchange rate of the dollar is a reflection of its strengthening in the international markets. While, the euro is currently being traded in the international markets at its lowest level in 12 months.
In the foreign currency exchange market, the euro is also getting stronger. Today, the European currency is traded at 122.37 lekë, or 0.23 lekë more than yesterday.
The experts explain that as the seasonal effects come to an end the euro is tending to return to its normal quota.
