Rama again invites students and lecturers to dialogue

TIRANA, October 30 /ATSH/ – Prime Minister Edi Rama renewed his invitation for dialogue with protesting students and lecturers, expressing readiness to review their proposals and address their grievances.

On social media, Rama shared images of a stone table—symbolizing a traditional communal gathering place—put in front of the Prime Minister’s Office, bearing the inscription “Dialogue.”

However, the protesters have so far rejected the invitation, demanding the prime minister’s resignation and signaling that the protest will continue.

The prime minister has consistently stated that he is prepared to consider any proposals from the students and lecturers. Meanwhile, the government is preparing a package of measures to address their needs, with the aim of ensuring that listening to citizens renders into concrete decision-making and support.

According to him, the 2027 budget also carries additional measures to support families, public services and students.

Furthermore, Rama warned that any attempt to incite urban terror or religious division, or to undermine Albania’s tradition of tolerance and harmony, will be met with accountability.
