TIRANA, September 21/ATA/-An earthquake measuring 5.8 on the Richter scale struck Albania at 16:14 hrs with strong tremors felt countrywide.
According to the Institute of Geo-science, Energy, Water and Environment the intensity of the earthquake was more than 7 degrees.
The epicenter of the quake was 30 km in the North of Durrës, in the coast near Rodon Cape.
According to the institute, this has been the strongest earthquake in the last 30 years.
There are no reports of casualties or material damage.
The earthquake has been felt up to Saranda and Finiq in the south and Dibër in the North./p.s./
