TIRANA, Sept 15 /ATA/- Tax Administration director general Delina Ibrahimaj during the meeting held this weekend in Tirana with representatives of German Association of Industry and Trade (DIHA) touched on Fiscalization project.
The meeting was held in the frame of public consultations on the draft law “On the bill and turnover monitoring system,” where representatives of General Directorate of Taxation and National Agency of Information Society presented the project of Fiscalisation to the participants and answered their questions.
Following opening remarks by DIHA Director, Bledar Mankollari, and Director General of Taxation Administration, Ibrahimaj, as well as a brief summary of comments by DIHA members, presented by Erinda Xhaferaj, Representative of PWC Albania, the meeting continued with the presentation of technicalities in the draft law on issues of interest, presented by representatives of German business companies present in Albania.
The project is still in the process of improvement and consultation with all stakeholders is ongoing. This bill, which was referred to the chambers of commerce for feedback in August, has aroused the interest and boosted involvement of business community invited to address any questions and suggestions in writing to the task force.
The new bill on Fiscalization is aimed at cracking down on informality in the country’s economy and supporting business under conditions of fair competition.
