TIRANA, September 11 /ATA/ – “Albania is the only country in Europe where the number of Jews was ten times higher after World War II.”
During in Israel, Albania’s Acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Gent Cakaj paid a visit to the Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum in Jerusalem.
Minister Cakaj got acquainted with terrible stories of mass extermination of the Jews during World War II.
Minister Cakaj said that, “Albania is the only country in Europe where the number of Jews was ten times higher after World War II.”
Therefore, the people and the state of Israel have always expressed gratitude for the nobility of the Albanian people.
“Moved and proud of being on the right side of history. Acting against anti-Semitism is a moral obligation for all of us,” said Cakaj.
