TIRANA, Sept 3 /ATA/ The wildfire in the area of Tropoja, between Qafë Prushi (Prushi Pass) and Qafë Morinë (Morina Pass) was put out thanks to the efforts of 70 firefighters who battled with the blaze for four days in a row.
“For 4 days in a row around 70 firefighters of fire brigade from Tropoja, Kukës and Has extinguished the wildfire between Qafë-Prushi and Qafe-Morina which started in Kosovo and spread to Tropoja,” according to official sources from Kukes municipality.
“The terrain was pretty rough as a part of the mountain was thought to be mined, posing a high risk for the life of firefighters. Support from Kosovo came to help fire brigades on the hotspot,” official sources from Kukes municipality.
