PRISTINA, Aug 8 /ATA/ Minister of Internal Affairs, Ekrem Mustafa, accompanied by Director of Border Department at Kosovo Police, Shaban Guda, visited the Merdare Border Crossing Point.

On this occasion, Minister Mustafa and Director Guda were briefed on the challenges facing police and customs officials at this border crossing point, praising the mobilization of the Kosovo Police and Kosovo Customs in the event of increasing flow of passengers crossing this border point during summer.

“The posts at this border crossing point are the result of the Serbian side disregarding the Brussels agreements, while the Kosovo side is working with increased capacities, there are no problems on the Kosovo side. Also, the Serbian side has not yet moved to the new Joint Border Crossing Point facility in Merdare built by UNOPS, ”Mustafa said.
