TIRANA, August 8/ATA/- President of the Republic, Ilir Meta has considered the October 13th elections as the only political stalemate solution.
President Meta declared that by staying at the side of law and the participation in institutions, the opposition can help the country, democracy, justice and itself.
Emphasizing the role of the opposition, Meta says that “if the opposition in Serbia would expect from Milosevic to punish himself, or to guarantee free and fair elections, definitely he would have been in power today. But the opposition made the right decision by uniting, facing it and defeating it. He was handcuffed and taken to The Hague Tribunal.
“So elections are the only solution towards democracy and justice. Everything else is an excuse, an alibi and a complicity! October 18th is coming! ”Meta concludes.//a.i/
