Institutions continue actions in combating illegal practices in retail fuel business

TIRANA, July 27 /ATA/ – Prime Minister Edi Rama said Saturday that Albania’s institutions have intensified actions in combating the illegal practices in the retail fuel business and the informal economy.

The anti-informality operation goes on with inspections and actions against illicit practices by gas station owners and fuel distributors, discovering cases of tax evasion and abusive actions in adulterating fuel and compromising quality standards.

“Stop informality. Punishment measures against abusive fuel retailers in distribution stations without issuing coupon to the consumer,” Rama said, stating that a zero tolerance policy will be adopted to offenders.
