TIRANA, July 25/ATA/- “Dialogue should be established by respecting the constitution and respecting legitimate institutions, OSCE Secretary General Thomas Greminger said, while inviting the parties to engage in a comprehensive dialogue.
At a joint press conference with acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Gent Cakaj, with regard to the political situation in Albania, OSCE Secretary General Thomas Greminger stated that, “we are closely following the political developments in Albania. And we hope that the current political stalemate will be overcome soon “.
“I assess that the solution must be found between the parties, but in the meantime, as a platform for inclusive dialogue we aim at undoubtedly encouraging dialogue. We encourage the common quest for solving problems that exist in the country, “he said.
Also, Greminger said that “in order for Albania to make further progress, it is necessary for all political stakeholders to engage in the functioning of democratic institutions and processes of this country”.
“Participation in democratic institutions is the only way out, it is legitimate to use political power and influence. And the dialogue should be established by respecting the Constitution and legitimate institutions, “he stressed.
“Let me assure you that the OSCE is ready to provide its full support to the political stalemate, but clearly there will be no sustainable solution unless all the political stakeholders are involved in finding a solution, he said.//a.i/
