TIRANA, July 23/ATA/- In addition to salary paid for performing a specified work, people with different abilities will also benefit from the full social security package provided by the state, including disability benefits despite being in a part-time or even full-time job, the Albania’s Minister of Health and Social Protection, Ogerta Manastirliu stated.
The Health and Social Protection Minister Manastirliu visited Tuesday an employee using a wheelchair in the premises of Agency for the Delivery of Integrated Services in Albania, ADISA service sector in Tirana.
The new Law on Social Assistance and Services provides for abolishment of the maximum allowance income limit.
“The abolition of the maximum income limit of 80 thousand lek will create the opportunity for increasing the amount of social assistance to families in need and families with large numbers of children,” Minister Manastirliu stated emphasizing that, over 165 thousand people with disabilities and occupationally disabled workers will benefit from social insurance scheme.” //a.i/
