TIRANA, July 23 /ATA/-By Maela Marini/ – Prime Minister Edi Rama stated Tuesday that the internal elections for leadership positions within the ruling Socialist Party should be subject to a national debate process.
“The intra-party elections should be a national and not only a party debate process,” PM Rama said as he addressed the Socialist Party’s Assembly meeting, adding that Socialist Party will launch an intra-election process in September.
“The goal of the internal elections is to carry out a deeper communication and organizational process to open up the party. Entire party leadership, I myself, the chairmanship, the lawmakers and the whole cabinet team, including the mayors, should all literally come down to earth in order to make sure that every Socialist organization has its own say and is provided the opportunity to have direct communication with us,” he said.
