On June 30 we stood on right side of history

TIRANA, July 23 /ATA/ – By Maela Marini/ “We have only one merit in landmark victory of the state and citizens on June 30, we stood on the right side of history and made the tough choice to take the lead down the most narrow path,” PM Edi Rama said in his address to the SP National Assembly.

Rama went on saying that this merit is a natural expression of what SP has stood for ever since it came into existence.

“It is not that we merely won an electoral battle for the next term at the helm of municipalities, the fact is that Albania, Albanian citizenship won once and for all the battle for other elections. Albania will not see the act of relinquishing the mandates, Molotov cocktail parties, boycott of elections and hostile political fronts against the right of even one citizen to elect on the date slated for elections,” Rama said.

Those who dared embark on this adventure, according to him, suffered for their decisions but also caused their followers and Albanian political parties a lot of trouble.

The works done so far fall short of post June 30 target. The energies we have invested fall short of expectations after June 30, our governing yield at every level is not good enough after June 30, let alone the level of service to common people in this state that falls short of our goal and should be a concern to us all, Rama said.
