TIRANA, July 4/ATA/- During the first six months of the current year, there were more goods and vessels handled in the goods terminals of the Durres Port Authority than in the same period of the last two years.
According to the Statistics Sector in Durres Port Authority, during January-June 2019 were handled 368,982 tons of different import-export goods.
According to the same source, during the same period in 2018 were handled 315,390 tons of goods from 120 vessels, respectively 53,592 tons and 17 vessels less than the volume and the number of vessels handled in the 6-month period that was closed.
This year’s figures are even higher than those of 2017, said sources.
The average amount of goods handled by every vessel during this 6-month period is estimated at 2,693 tons / vessel, whereas last year it did not exceed the average of 2,628 tons / vessel./k.s/p.s./
