TIRANA, June 3 /ATA/-The Central Election Commission (CEC), by the technical assistance of the National Democratic Institute and the British Embassy trained the candidates running for mayor at the local elections and their financiers about declaration of funds benefited and spent during the electoral campaign.
For the first time, in June 30 local elections the candidates running for mayors will report the campaign funding through the political parties they represent.
Training courses were held in 12 regions of the country and targeted that the candidate mayors get acquainted with the legal obligations for the financial reporting, to build their capacities so that to ensure effective law enforcement, the CEC acts and requirements of reporting based on the new forms approved by the Commission.
The CEC has actually trained the candidate mayors of 59 municipalities. While, the training of the candidates running for Tirana and Durrës municipalities will be held on Wednesday and Thursday this current week./j.p/p.s./
