TIRANA, May 20 /ATA/ – By A. Fortuzi/ The Democratic Conviction candidate for Lezha mayor Salvador Kaçaj has withdrawn from the electoral race.
Within a few hours of his enrollment with CEC, the candidate Kaçaj has submitted his resignation from the race for June 30 local elections. In a letter to CEC, he explains the reasons behind his withdrawal.
“In the course of my professional and political life I have accepted to join multiple races which I have won. I saw the proposal to represent Democratic Conviction as an opportunity to run for mayor to the benefit of Lezha,” Kaçaj points out.
“However the circumstances and signals in the last couple of days have forced me to reconsider my decision to run in June 30 elections under the logo of Democratic Conviction,” Kaçaj said.
