TIRANA, May 11 /ATA/ – Violence in Saturday’s protest has affected not only the State Police and the country’s institutions, but reporters and the TV operators too, the Communication Director at the Government Endri Fuga said.
“Top-channel, Report TV and ABC News report that their reporters, cameramen and equipment have been violated by masked protesters,” Fuga said.
Few minutes later Fuga added that “Vizion Plus adds to the list of television channels violated by masked protesters.”
Earlier this evening, media reported that masked individuals assaulted ABC News TV operator Mateo Brahja and broke his camera.
A group of young people wearing masks attacked cameraman of Top Channel TV Eno Xhaja while protesters were moving towards the Prime Minister’s office.
Protesters wearing black masks and another wearing a gas mask ran towards the cameraman and assaulted him physically and broke his camera, asking him not to film.
