36 Albanians repatriated after violating free movement rules in Schengen area

TIRANA, April 24 /ATA/ – Some 36 Albanian nationals were repatriated on a state flight after being deported from countries like France, the Netherlands and Belgium.

The State Police said Wednesday that these citizens were repatriated after violating the free-movement rules in the Schengen zone.

As many as 2800 Albanian nationals have been deported from the EU member states since January 1.

The Ministry of Interior and the State Police appeal to Albanian citizens not to seek asylum in the EU member states because chances of success in wining asylum rights are zero since Albania has been listed as a safe country of origin.
