TIRANA, April 10/ATA/ – The Albanian government will provide for the first time this year, financial support for the Social Enterprises to offer employment for disadvantaged groups of people.
Funding of these enterprises aims at promoting gender equality, women’s economic empowerment and other vulnerable groups.
Less than 30% of the employees of these enterprises will be persons with disabilities, persons who have benefited from the financial assistance scheme or other economically disadvantaged groups.
The Albanian government has approved a 100 million ALL in financial assistance for the promotion and support of Social Enterprises for 2019.
While, according to the Ministry of Health and Social Protection announcement, the non-profit organizations have the right to apply for the status of “Socially-Owned Enterprise”.//a.i/
