PM Rama: It’s not Syria, but QSUT in 2013

TIRANA, March 28/ATA/-Prime Minister Edi Rama posted today on the social media images of the University Medical Center “Mother Teresa” (QSUT) in 2013 to remind the way it was at the time.

“It’s not Syria, but the University Medical Center “Mother Teresa” in 2013”, wrote PM Rama.

There are two major projects being actually implemented which will transform the centre, the new hospital of the internal diseases and the surgery hospital.

The transformation project worth 25 million Euros is being implemented in the course of the government major investments in the field of health.

These important investments will have a direct impact on improvement of the health service to the citizens not only of Tirana, but of the whole Albania given that 50% of the patients are coming from regions outside Tirana.

About 50 thousand patients annually, about 5000 medical staff and others as well as 1000 students of medicine will benefit from the two investments.

The new 7-storey hospital of the internal diseases is due to be completed in 36 months.  It will have a capacity of 271 beds and will be equipped with high tech apparatuses./m.m/ /a.g/p.s./
