TIRANA, March 27 /ATA/- During 2018 the sector of aquaculture has increased its output dramatically compared to the previous years.
Reform in the sector of fishery and aquaculture as well as improvement of legal framework will facilitate the activity of business in this sector.
Meanwhile the subsidy schemes have provided financial support to artisanal fishermen and aquaculture businesses either.
In result, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the aquaculture output for 2018 reached over 5 thousand tons as compared to 3 thousand tons in 2016.
Aquaculture in our country consists in cultivation in salty and freshwater of mussels, bass and trout, which is expected to boost this sector.
