TIRANA, March 15 /ATA/ – According to the OSCE/ODIHR final report, the elections performance in Albania has been one of the best, the Socialist Party MP, Senida Mesi stated Thursday in a television interview.
Mesi also emphasized that, “today we are unable to pass the law on electoral reform, but the Albanian government is ready to continue this reform. The draft law on the electoral reform has been also discussed by the German experts. The draft law provides all the OSCE/ODIHR recommendations.”
Regarding the opposition protest, the Socialist Party MP, Senida Mesi stated that, “this is a political protest demanding two main elements; first, it does not accept the legitimacy of the government and second it demands the departure of the Prime Minister Edi Rama. The leader of the Democratic Party, DP Basha has called for civil disobedience, and has invited citizens to incite violence. Citizens would not be demanding the departure of the prime minister, if it would’t be a political protest, given circumstances, these banners have been created at the headquarters of the two parties,”she added. //a.i/
