TIRANA, March 15/ATA/-Speaker of the Parliament Gramoz Ruçi received today the new ambassador of China to Albania Zhou Ding.
Ruçi highlighted the very good bilateral relations established between the two countries 7 decades ago, the spirit of cooperation, the satisfactory political dialogue and the exchange of high level visits.
The ambassador said that China considers Albania a friendly and reliable partner in Central and Eastern Europe and is ready to enhance cooperation and exchanges in different fields.
In context of international cooperation, Speaker Ruçi positively assessed China’s role in resolving international affairs and reiterated the demand for China to recognize Kosovo and support Kosovo membership in international organizations.
Ambassador Zhou Dung announced the upcoming visit to Albania of the Vice Chairperson of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Zhang Qingli, a visit due to take place in context of the 70th anniversary of establishment of bilateral relations between the two countries./a.g/p.s./
