TIRANA, July 19/ATA/-President of Kosovo Hashim Thaçi stated that the stance of President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic is beyond reality as the only acceptable agreement for Kosovo is the formal recognition of the state of Kosovo by Serbia and its membership in all the international organizations.
President Thaçi spoke during a press conference on Thursday of potential barriers raised by the Serbian authorities, but he added he was hopeful about reaching the agreement under the auspices of the EU.
“Irrespective of the differences between Kosovo and Serbia, there exists the will the process goes ahead and during the remaining 6 months the two sides manage to achieve a final historical agreement of normalization of relations, peace and reciprocal recognition between Kosovo and Serbia”, said he.
Thaçi said that Serbian president views of Kosovo being Serbia’s heartland imply that the stands of the two sides are far apart.
Thaçi emphasized that everyone in Serbia must be aware that Kosovo Independence is non-negotiable because the issue is settled.
