TIRANA, July 17 /ATA/- “ We haven’t introduced any new condition for Albania,” Commissioner for European Neighborhood and Enlargement Negotiations, Johannes Hahn, stated on Tuesday.
Hahn went on saying that there is no new condition added for Albania, it is a process that has been conducted in any other candidate country. We need to identify the position of your country’s legislation relative to EU’s.
To illustrate his point, the commissioner cited the process of vetting which, according to him, is a part of this mosaic of the process.
We are conducting a comprehensive process. We are looking into the general situation of the rule of law.
The better the quality of this analytical process from all institutions involved, the more done in advance, the better will be for the beginning of negotiations. It is a process that has to be conducted in each candidate country,” he said.
