TIRANA, July 2 / ATA /- Following the decision of the European Council to open Albania’s negotiations in 2019, Parliament’s Rapporteur on Albania, MEP, Knut Fleckenstein attended Monday a roundtable meeting, in Tirana on “What is expected from Albania following the conclusions of the EU Council on General Issues: Expectations and Duties.”
“It is of great importance to Albania to accomplish the tasks. Europe is praising the efforts in the justice reforms. Also, it is of vital importance to the country to cooperate, given the fact that we should be together towards European Union,” MEP Knut Fleckenstein said.
During his speech, MEP Knut Fleckenstein appealed that, “we need an opposition that does not boycott but supports the reforms”.
MEP Knut Fleckenstein emphasized that, “the European Parliament said that, there is no additional condition that has been imposed on Albania’s path towards integration.” //a.i/
