TIRANA, June 27/ATA/-Prime Minister Edi Rama drew the attention to the statements by the Albanian opposition leaders and the top German officials emphasizing confrontation between them on the issue of Albania opening the EU accession negotiations and the German stance on this issue.
“Here’s Albania’s opposition leader and friendly Germany representative”, writes PM Rama on the social media, the Facebook, also attaching a video showing statements of the Democratic Party leader Lulzim Basha and German Minister of State for Europe Michael Roth.
“Yesterday’s decision of Germany was the most crystal clear verdict implying that the negotiations don’t open because of a single reason, Albania has not met the conditions”, said Basha on June 21, 2018 at the session of the Assembly.
While, Roth evaluates that Albania and Macedonia have made efforts to consolidate the rule of law, independence of the judiciary and fight against corruption.
“That’s why Germany is ready to support Albania and Macedonia on their way toward the EU”, said Roth./m.m/p.s./
