TIRANA, June 23 /ATA/ Construction of Fier and Vlora bypasses will kick off in September 2018..
This is what Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Damian Gjiknuri, said in his remarks during the presentation of development projects dedicated to the region of Vlora. Also in attendance of the project presentation was PM Edi Rama.
Today we are at the stage of bidding procedures for Fier and Vlora bypasses, while the contract will take effect in September setting the stage for beginning of construction works, the minister said.
Addressing Vlora citizens, Gjiknuri said that you are witnessing every day the impact of investments on the city and economic benefits associated with them.
“At the job fair I learned that there are 1 thousand jobs available, job demands have increased as well. As a matter of fact there is an overwhelming desire to work in the state, when private sector offers unlimited opportunities.”
The truth is that our ambitious projects in Vlora are being replicated in other cities across Albania.
Albania is following an upward trend in economic growth. Of course, we have a lot of pending issues. It is a country with a deficient heritage, it is a poor country, however significant progress has been made thanks to reforms and recovery of institutions, building a certain future.
“Vlora will be one of the main beneficiaries because it boasts natural resources, this is what Vlora has needed, the state attention,” Gjiknuri concluded his remarks./k.s/ /a.g/sm/
