TIRANA, June 12 /ATA/-Prime Minister Edi Rama hailed Albania’s new unemployment level as issued on Monday by the Institute of Statistics (INSTAT).
According to INSTAT, in the first quarter of 2018, the official unemployment rate in Albania, for the population aged 15 years and over, is 12.5 %.
PM Rama wrote on the social media, the Facebook, that the challenge for reduction of unemployment remains extraordinary and complex, but it is an undeniable fact that Albania is experiencing a fundamental change year by year.
“INSTAT issued on Monday the new unemployment indicator and without any self-satisfaction at all, as the challenge remains extraordinary and complex, beginning from the indispensability of reducing further the unemployment, to the need of increasing protection of the employees as well as the ambitious objective that the small salaries get increased, stands the undeniable fact that Albania is experiencing a fundamental change year by year”, wrote PM Rama. /j.prifti/p.s./
