TIRANA, May 22 /ATA/ – By I. Vata/ – DP head , Lulzim Basha, inspired by the uprising of political prisoners 45 years ago in Spaç and 34 years ago in the jail of Qafë Bari, appealed for mass participation on Saturday’s protest against injustice and for Albania like the rest of Europe.
The DP head Basha says that 11 years after Spaç uprising, which revived hope and gave courage to people, another act of heroism took place in another notorious jail, the Qafë- Bari uprising.”
Political prisoners rose against their oppressors. Thanks to their superhuman courage in Qafë- Bari, 34 years ago, freedom triumphed for several hours, the bloodthirsty communist regime collapsed for a few hours. The men who did these heroic deeds are a source of inspiration. They demanded freedom, they rose against injustice inside the notorious jails, Basha adds.
Basha said that in their unrivaled example, the overwhelming majority of Albanians who want the country free from crime, drugs and ministers linked with gangs, without a minister who advocates the evil will join the opposition protest on Saturday.
