Environmental concerns, 93% of citizens’ complaints resolved

TIRANA, May 11/ATA/-About 93% of the complaints filed to the Ministry of Tourism and Environment about environmental concerns have been resolved through the co-governance platform.

Coordinator of co-governance platform at the Ministry of Tourism and Environment Marin Shpata said that 229 complaints filed by the citizens from a total of 249 have been resolved.

He spoke about the story of a citizen from Vlora who had been complaining for three years to Vlora City Hall about the noise that a workshop caused to his family, but spend only three minutes with the co-governance platform to find a solution.

Following his contact with the co-governance platform, the Environmental Inspectorate and the Institute of Public Health members confirmed the situation on the ground and found out that the noise was above the allowed limits.

The Inspectorate took administrative measures and suspended the activity of the workshop until it created the proper conditions and isolated the noise, concluded Shpata. /z.tosku//r.e/p.s./
