TIRANA, April 5/ATA/-Albania’s Minister of Finance Arben Ahmetaj said on Wednesday to the Parliamentary group of the Socialist Party that the Value Added Tax on the small business is not a cost neither for the business nor for the consumer.
“The small business of 2 million up to 5 million leks turnover will have the obligation to declare the VAT. The business has included VAT in the price of goods or services and it isn’t a cost on the small business. The consumer has already paid. Hence, there is not any price increase”, Ahmetaj said.
Albania has in total 11 thousand small businesses that will get included in the scheme of VAT declaration. Ahmetaj said that this is not a new tax.
“This is not a new tax, but an old tax. The obligation to declare VAT is an administrative declaration and has no cost”, said the minister./p.s./
