TIRANA, April 4/ATA/-The contract between the government of Albania and the concessionaire on maintenance of the Nation’s Highway stipulates even a social package designed to ease the local vulnerable residents of Kukës, Has and Tropoja who will be regular users of the road.
Minister of Finance and Economy Arben Ahmetaj said on Wednesday to the Parliamentary Committee of Economy that the local residents of Kukës, Has and Tropoja will enjoy a different treatment as compared to other travellers on the road.
Minister Ahmetaj said that the government had been negotiating with the concessionaire for a month on the social package.
He said that the package aims at reducing the social and economic impact stemming from introduction of the toll in the Nation’s Highway. /a.gjonaj/p.s./
