TIRANA, April 4 /ATA/- The opposition is stirring up the divide between the citizens of north and south Albanian as in 1997.
This is what the chairman of parliamentary law committee, also the SP lawmaker, Ulsi Manja, stated during a televised interview on Wednesday afternoon. Looking back on 1997, Manja said that the same opposition that armed northern Albanians against the south will fail in the same story repeating itself, inciting the divide between the north and south.
I appeal to this opposition, whose cause is the petrol bottle and violence, to dissociate from this way of politics, because all of us are Albanians from the north to south and the govt. has been elected by civic vote.
Berisha played politics with divides in 1997, but he failed. Fortunately Albanians are 10 steps ahead of this political class. Yet, this attempt will be a failure, because the protests that took place in Kukës and before Tirana Police Directorate ended up with a bunch of militants who know nothing about politics but violence, gasoline, and arson attacks.
