TIRANA, Oct 31/ATA/ Gazment Bardhi, head of the Democratic Party’s (DP) parliamentary group, today responded to students’ refusal to welcome DP activists and MPs at the protest outside the Ministry of Education.
Speaking to reporters, Bardhi stressed that the Democrats’ political battle was directed not against smaller parties, but against Prime Minister Edi Rama.
“Those 10 or 12 people who are more vocal in their criticism of the opposition than of Rama can continue with their strategy. They will not be able to save him,” Bardhi said.
He went on to stress that “there is no doubt that the DP is the largest opposition party”.
“If smaller parties were our opponents, we could engage in a political battle with them. But our real fight is against Rama, and we will continue to focus our efforts on him,” Bardhi said.
