TIRANA, October 29 /ATSH/ – Construction of the Saranda bypass is moving at a fast pace, bringing to life one of the most critical infrastructure investments for this coastal city.
Prime Minister Edi Rama shared in the social media footage from the construction site today, emphasizing that the project will cut traffic, make daily life more convenient for locals and elevate the experience for Saranda’s thousands of annual visitors.
Rama noted that the project teams are making rapid progress on the Sixth Road and tunnel excavation, which are on track to be completed next year.
This strategic project will transform mobility in Saranda, serving as a vital infrastructure asset for years to come. By significantly reducing congestion during the peak tourist season, it will ensure smoother daily traffic and faster access to the region’s top attractions. Ultimately, this new route will elevate the urban environment and drive sustainable growth for the local economy.
