TIRANA, October 29 /ATSH/ – Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Ferit Hoxha received the Canadian Ambassador to Albania Elissa Golberg, today. They discussed bilateral relations and opportunities for further deepen cooperation between the two countries.
Minister Hoxha described Canada as a valued friendly, a NATO ally, and a trusted partner to Albania, expressing appreciation for its contribution to the country’s democratic consolidation and socio-economic development.
During the meeting, it was noted that relations between Albania and Canada have steadily expanded in recent years, opening promising prospects for concrete cooperation across a range of areas of mutual interest—including stronger people-to-people ties, tourism, trade and economic cooperation.
Special attention was also given to joint efforts toward establishment of the Defense, Security and Resilience Bank—a multilateral financial mechanism designed to support the development of defense, security and resilience capabilities, offer a further opportunity to deepen cooperation in these strategically important areas. /gj.m/j.p/r.e/p.s./
