Waterfront extension project to revitalise, expand public spaces for residents and tourists in Vlora

TIRANA, Oct 28 /ATA/ – The waterfront Lungomare 3 project in the coastal area of Radhima is a strategic investment aimed at expanding Vlora’s high-quality tourism offering, Prime Minister Edi Rama said on Wednesday, sharing footage of the latest urban improvements along the southern Albanian coast.

The project serves local residents as well as Albanian and foreign tourists visiting the Vlora coastline or travelling further south along the Albanian Riviera.

The investment has upgraded coastal infrastructure and created modern public spaces, enhancing the tourism potential of the country’s southern shoreline.

Lungomare 3 has given Vlora a new lease of life, while laying the groundwork for the next phase, Lungomare 4, planned for the Orikum area, Rama said.

Once completed, the wider project aims to make Vlora home to what the government describes as the Mediterranean’s longest seafront promenade.
