TIRANA, October 19 /ATSH/ – Police in Tirana arrested 68 protesters in the act and launched criminal proceedings against 22 more following yesterday’s demonstration.
These suspects are accused of throwing stones, hard objects and pyrotechnics at police officers, public and private buildings and road signs. Their actions resulted in injuries to law enforcement and significant property damage.
Tirana Police reported that 20 officers were injured during yesterday’s protest.
The case files have been referred to the Prosecutor’s Office for further action.
