TIRANA, Oct 15 /ATA/ Democratic Party chairman Sali Berisha said today that no government action would weaken the opposition’s support for the student protest.
He stressed that the Democratic Party, along with its members and supporters across the country, would continue to stand by the students, regardless of the actions of the Prime Minister, the State Police or the security services.
Berisha said he wanted to warn Edi Rama that no action by the Prime Minister, the State Police or the security services would affect the Democratic Party’s full support for the student protest, adding that the party’s members and supporters across Albania would continue to stand behind the students.
Berisha called on Prime Minister Edi Rama to resign.
“I suggest that, between the fate of Ceausescu and that of Ramiz Alia, he choose the latter. There is no other way. He should resign!” Berisha said.
