TIRANA, October 13 /ATA/ – During a visit to the Elbasan regional hospital, Minister of Health and Social Welfare Klodiana Spahiu stated that the radiology system will be unified onto a platform supported by artificial intelligence. This initiative aims to improve diagnostics, raise standards and enhance collaboration among medical specialists.
“We plan to integrate the entire radiology system into an artificial intelligence project very soon. This will offer significant advantages—not only for radiologists, but for the medical team as a whole—by enabling us to review and discuss cases collaboratively, with each specialist contributing their expert opinion. Operating within a unified system raises standards, ensuring that our diagnostic responses are well-coordinated,” Spahiu said.
Spahiu said that investments in technology and infrastructure will continue—including in mental health facilities—with the goal of improving treatment conditions, enhancing service quality and ensuring more dignified care for both patients and healthcare staff. /e.i/j.p/p.s./
