Tirana hosts Albanian-Spanish literary days

TIRANA, October 12 /ATA/ – The National Library of Albania is hosting the “Literary Days” and a gathering of Spanish and Albanian writers—an event aimed at strengthening literary and cultural ties between the two nations by bringing together writers, scholars and representatives of the literary world from both Albania and Spain.

The event, which began yesterday, continues today, coinciding with Spain’s National Day. It is organized in collaboration with the *Asociación de Escritores de Castilla-La Mancha* (Association of Writers of Castilla-La Mancha), the Embassy of Spain in Albania, CEDRO (*Centro Español de Derechos Reprográficos*), and the League of Writers of Albania.

The program carries presentations, discussions and meetings focusing on Albanian-Spanish literary and cultural relations, the role of translation in bringing the two cultures closer, the exchange of literature between the Albanian and Spanish languages and opportunities for new collaborations among authors and cultural institutions.

As part of this event, the National Library has also prepared a special exhibition featuring works by Spanish writers translated into Albanian. The exhibition aims to draw public attention to the presence and influence of Spanish literature on Albanian culture, while simultaneously highlighting the importance of translation as a bridge between peoples and literary traditions.

The Albanian-Spanish Literary Days offer an opportunity to foster intercultural dialogue, enhance mutual understanding among creators and open up new avenues for cooperation in the fields of literature and publishing. /j.p/p.s./
