TIRANA, Oct 6 /ATA/ – Reconstruction work is under way at the “Tamara Nikolla” Sports Palace in Korçë, southeastern Albania, as part of a project to turn the venue into a modern sports facility capable of hosting international events.
Prime Minister Edi Rama on Tuesday shared footage on social media from the construction site, saying work was continuing to provide the city with a modern sports venue suitable for international competitions.
The project includes upgrades to facilities for athletes and teams while preserving the building’s architectural identity.
Once completed, the renovated sports palace is expected to provide improved conditions for the activities of the “Skënderbeu” Multisport Club and enable the hosting of international-level sporting events.
The project also aims to create a more suitable environment for children and young people, encouraging sports training and participation.
