Moody’s upgrades Albania’s outlook from “stable” to “positive”

TIRANA, Sept 23 /ATA/ The General Directorate of Taxation announced that international rating agency Moody’s has revised Albania’s outlook from “stable” to “positive”, while simultaneously affirming the sovereign credit rating at Ba3.

According to the Tax Authority, Moody’s assessment highlighted as positive factors the performance of budget revenues and the implementation of the Medium‑Term Revenue Strategy (MTRS).

The Tax Administration emphasised that the outlook improvement is linked to the strengthening of public finances and the progress of reforms, considering this development part of Albania’s efforts on its path towards European Union integration.

Moody’s continues to maintain Albania’s sovereign credit rating at Ba3, while the change in outlook signals a more favourable assessment of the country’s future financial profile.
