TIRANA, Sept. 23 /ATA/ – Albania’s Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Ferit Hoxha met the United Kingdom’s Special Envoy for the Western Balkans, Dame Karen Pierce, in New York on Wednesday, discussing regional developments and the importance of closer cooperation and connectivity.
In a post on social media platform X, Hoxha said the two discussed current developments across the Western Balkans, as well as the challenges and opportunities facing the region.
“We also exchanged views on the challenges and opportunities ahead and on the importance of continued close coordination between Albania and the United Kingdom in support of a more stable, safer and more European Western Balkans,” Hoxha said.
He added that the partnership with the United Kingdom remained an important part of Albania’s engagement in the region and beyond.
