Bardhi calls Hague decision a shame for humanity

TIRANA, Sept 16  /ATA/ Gazment Bardhi, chairman of the Democratic Party’s parliamentary group, reacted today to the Specialist Chambers’ decision in The Hague, which sentenced four former Kosovo Liberation Army commanders — Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Rexhep Selimi and Jakup Krasniqi — to prison for war crimes.

Bardhi condemned the Hague verdict as an “injustice” and a “shame for humanity,” saying the ruling marked a sombre day for Albanians, humanity and the democratic world.

Bardhi condemned the Hague verdict in stark terms, calling it “unbelievable” and “unacceptable.”  Bardhi added that Albanians would emerge stronger in the face of what he described as an injustice and a shame for humanity.

Bardhi reinforced his stance, declaring: “No one can tarnish the just war for Kosovo’s freedom. Forever with the KLA!”
