TIRANA, August 24/ATA/ The first week of the new Abissnet Superiore season concluded after matches spread across three days.
Action began Friday with Vllaznia and Skënderbeu drawing 2-2. On Saturday, Partizani and Teuta tied 0-0, while Laçi and AF Elbasani also finished 1-1. The opening round wrapped up Sunday night with simultaneous 21:00 kickoffs: Vora edged Dinamo City 1-0 and Egnatia defeated Tirana 3-0 at Arena Egnatia.
Before their match against Tirana at Arena Egnatia, the reigning champions hosted the official opening ceremony for the new Abissnet Superiore season. Because Egnatia had European competition commitments, the league chose their home stadium to kick off the Albanian football season. Egnatia then started their title defense with a strong win over Tirana.
