TIRANA, August 11/ATA/ In the heart of Shkodra, 1998 Studio turns a simple idea into everyday action. Clothes get a second life, waste drops, and choices become more responsible. This is what the circular economy looks like: keeping what we have for longer instead of throwing it away. It is a small business, but a great proof that the economy and care for the planet can thrive together.
Minister of Environment Sofjan Jaupaj highlighted in the social media the example of the new business in Shkodra.
Marku’s studio turns old Albanian-motif carpets into unique men’s jackets. Backed by a foreign grant and state aid, he opened a second recycling workshop with five new machines and six temporary staff. The project highlights eco-friendly fashion and sustainable consumption in Albania’s growing circular economy.
