TIRANA, Aug 11 /ATA/ The Ministry of Defence said today that 23 wildfires were reported across the country over the past 12 hours, eight of which remain active.
A total of 26 fire engines, 310 operational personnel, 103 members of the Armed Forces, three Air Force helicopters and two Air Tractor aircraft have been deployed as part of efforts to manage the situation.

In Dajt, following a flare-up of the fire above the Qafë Mollë tunnels, fire service and protected areas administration teams are working to contain the blaze, supported by an Armed Forces helicopter.
In Priskë e Madhe, four fire engines and 15 personnel remain deployed as efforts to extinguish the blaze continue, with no threat currently posed to populated areas.
In Drenie, Patos municipality, the fire has flared up again deep inside the forest. Firefighters and municipal teams, alongside 20 Armed Forces personnel and two Air Tractor aircraft, are continuing operations, reinforcing the response both on the ground and from the air.
In Krujë, operations are continuing at two fire hotspots. The situation in Abaze is under constant monitoring, with no current threat to populated areas.
In Krastë–Halil, two helicopters were deployed in the early morning hours, helping to stabilise the situation. Ground teams continue to work at the site, with protecting homes remaining the priority.
In the Nemërçkë mountain area of Përmet municipality, operations are continuing with fire service and municipal teams, supported by 25 Armed Forces personnel. There is currently no threat to populated areas.
The fire hotspot on Mount Dhëmbel also remains active, with Përmet fire service teams working to contain the blaze.
In Gurë-Lurë, Dibër municipality, another major operation is under way, involving 25 firefighters, 20 protected areas administration personnel, 35 volunteers and two Armed Forces helicopters. Teams are being positioned near homes to protect the local community and remain ready to respond to any developments.
Meanwhile, in Vilëz, Kurbin municipality, the fire reported during the afternoon has been fully extinguished, indicating positive progress in the operations on the ground.
The National Civil Protection Agency (AKMC) and civil protection structures continue intensive coordination until all fire hotspots have been fully brought under control.
