TIRANA, August 8 /ATA/ — As the Vjosa River flows freely along its natural course, it has created impressive natural landscapes.
Prime Minister Edi Rama today shared magical images of the Vjosa River on social media.
The Vjosa, described as “the last wild river in Europe,” is attracting an increasing number of tourists passionate about nature and extreme sports, particularly rafting.
Tourists travel along a roughly 20-kilometre stretch from Përmet towards Këlcyrë, where the river’s flow, canyons, historic bridges and natural landscapes create one of Albania’s most distinctive adventure experiences.
The Vjosa, which stretches for around 272 kilometres, runs through southern Albania and preserves an important natural heritage, with unique species, ecosystems and landscapes.
It has been designated a National Park, while its environmental importance has also been recognised by international media outlets specialising in nature.
